3 Cute and Fun Ways to Remember Your Special Memories

3 Cute and Fun Ways to Remember Your Special Memories

As someone who likes to immerse their self in fun and make new and exciting memories along the way, I love the idea of having a special way of remembering life’s adventures. I hold on to ticket stubs, take a million photos with each and every event, collect cool beer mats that remind me of a place, buy pin badges like they’re going out of fashion, keep a hold of hotel business cards, treat myself to merchandise at gigs… You get the idea. A minimalist’s nightmare, I assure you.

And while I used to live a life of simply popping all of these memories into a box to gather dust, I have finally learned to channel some creativity and showcase these memories in fun ways, just like they deserve. It makes for great talking points, too!

So, here are a few fun ways you can do it too…

Dig out the paper and glue and get scrapbooking

Give all of those tickets, photos, flyers and receipts a home in the form of a big ol’ scrapbook. Whether you create a mini scrapbook for each and every adventure or simply compile one huge memory book with a page for each new event, you get get your creative juices flowing and make something beautiful. Head over to the craft store for some fancy paper, stickers and embellishments to really top it off!

Strike a pose and get a group photo album going

I am no stranger to being guilty of taking a bundle of photographs on trips and special events, and doing nothing but letting them sit in my camera gathering virtual dust. Instead, get your friends on board and make a special group album. This can be done with the likes of shared Facebook albums, or designated online services. Take Wedding Photo Swap for example – your friends can upload all of the wedding photos they take into one place, so you can all see the wedding through everybody’s eyes… And after all, after spending so long hunting out the perfect decor or the best prom dresses for your body type, why wouldn’t you want to see it all at every possible angle?!

Keep it digital and write a blog

Of course, it would be rude of me not to mention a blog as a fantastic way to document your memories… and help others find inspiration to create their own memories too! Think of it as an online diary and tap away at the keyboard filling the virtual page with sights, sounds, smells and feelings. Not to mention some beautiful photographs if you have them! Not only can you show the world what you’ve up to, but months or even years down the line, you can read it back and relive it all.

There you have it! Three fun and simple way to cherish your memories in a way that stops them simply gathering dust, and makes for a great way to share them with your friends too. Which one will you be trying?
